Victoria Nicholson

Professor - Powell River

Working with the EACS program since 2021, Victoria holds regular faculty appointments at both Kwantlen and Vancouver Island University as both an instructor and past dept chair/ co-ordinator . She holds a Batchelor's Degree in Child and Youth Care, A post Graduate Diploma in Significant Disabilities and Challenging Conditions and a master’s degree focusing on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, her research thesis assessed participant outcomes from behaviour support training.  Her prior work as a behaviour consultant for 16 years with programs and agencies throughout the province of BC, involved supporting both teams and families with children, youth and adults with behaviour support and increasing their quality of life. She believes that all individuals have the right to a high quality of life and is willing to look outside the box to make it happen. Currently involved in several research projects around the field of inclusion and PBS within the EA field. She enjoys inspiring others with her love of PBS and forming connections with EDAS students, watching them grow and learn through the program.
